UoK Chancellor addressing the graduation ceremony

To the graduands of the 3rd Congregation, your earnest academic journey today culminates in your graduation. I congratulate and celebrate you. For many of you, this place has been more than  a home away from home. We hope you have enjoyed your stay in the University. You are now part of an important human resource necessary for growth and development of our country. We recognize that your success has not been achieved by your individual effort alone. Your parents, guardians ans sponsors have walked with you in your academic journey. Spare a moment to thank them for their sacrifices.I would like to assure all parents, guardians and sponsors that these graduands have been equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to make significant contribution to the development of this great nation and beyond.I wish to thank the Government through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for its overall continued support to the University. I appeal for increased support through funding to the institution from the government for continued and sustained growth. As we celebrate this occasion, let us remember our departed colleague, Prof. Joseph B. Ojiambo, who was until his death the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic and Student Affairs. In his memory, we will continue with his spirit of dedication and service to humanity.Once again, I want to congratulate all the graduands on their achievements and wish them success in their future endeavours.May God bless you all. May He bless University of Kabianga and may He bless our country, Kenya. PROF. RICHARD MUSANGI, Ph.D., EBS
